Here are some positive statements and self-reflection questions to help you in making a commitment to and following up on staying active and healthy.

Affirmation

The more I take care of myself, the better I feel.

Naturally, being healthy feels good physically, but it also feels good spiritually.

I take care of myself by eating healthy foods and drinking plenty of water. I also take care of myself by getting enough exercise and sleep. Doing these things makes me feel good physically as my health improves each day. I am strong and I am fit.

When I take care of myself in these ways I am also made better in spirit and as a whole. My mind is clearer and my body is strong. My spirit is fortified because of the things I do to take care of myself. The more I do these things the better I feel; I have more energy and I think more clearly. Even my mood is improved when I take care of myself.

My body is strong and I feel powerful and full of energy. I wake up rested in the mornings and I am prepared for whatever may come my way. My health is improved and continues to get better every day.

Getting the rest and relaxation I need is also a way in which I take care of myself. This fortifies my mind and spirit as well as my body.

Today, I will continue to focus on taking care of myself, meeting my needs and improving my body, mind and spirit.

I will eat healthy foods, drink plenty of water, get exercise, and spend some time relaxing before getting plenty of sleep. I will breathe in my health and exhale an improved me.
